I just go tone of these in the shop I work in. I really want to take it home before someone buys it and throws it in a low pH freshwater tank. But I have small Brackish blennies, leaf fish, and a knight goby that would all be tasty morsels for it :(.

I could set it up by itself in my 10 gallon brackish tank as the current inhabitants are all basically big enough to go into the larger tank, but ill then have to figure out where to put it before it outgrows the 10g, lol.

Well, it's that or just look at it another way. You won't have to worry about buying or quarantining any feeders for a while. :naughty:

Just kidding.:grinno:

Thanks... Thanks to bnoble too.

They can get up to 12" but I wouldn't expect that in captivity. They go for around $20. at 5" - 6" here. I haven't seen any babies here but I've seen pics of them from other people. I'm sure it's a seasonal thing.
I like em,they even sell them live in the Asian supermarket around here. They keep them in cold water and dont sell for much.I tried to rescue one and the guy couldnt understand that I didnt intend it to be purchased as food, the poor thing lived for maybe a day after I got it home.
