My Amatitlania Nanolutea and friends journal

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Looks good!
However the apisto doesnt.
What species is it? I cant tell.
What you see in the dorsal of the apisto if the after effect of a GT attacking it. That explains the weird spike. Its a Apistogramma Macmasteri or so says The Wet Spot says last summer when I got him. He was way lighter until he got into these black sand tanks.

These were right after feeding time. Cory's are nonstop so hard to catch them in a pic at all.
Looks like the apisto Max got a scrape from evading the big male nano. As the nano has taken over the coconut shell Max had claimed.

Thanks for the update.
Very cool

So far mine have been model citizens in the planted tank. They have not touched any plants or moved any gravel

My male cracked me up today. Got a red Tiger lotus for his planted tank and found a nice open spot between the pearl weed and dwarf sag. He uprooted it twice so that it was floating. Put some plant weights around it and he moved it 2 more times. Now I pushed it into the substrate where he moved it too and he completely ignores the plant now.
