yes i am on the bottom floor, nothing but cement.
as far as water changes go i have about one day off a week.My aquariums are more on the over stocked side. The bigger tanks get 50 percent water changes every 5 days.200 plecos can make a mess fast. All the big tanks have 2 fx5s and 3 or 4 big sponge filters.
water is included in my rent thank goodness.

Haha, sounds like you're day off is still pretty busy.

i am in an old building but i have two circuit breakers?not sure why but i suppose it works out.

you should add up the total wattage of your tanks if everything was on and divide by 120v to get the amps just to see where you are at in terms of maximum power consumption.

you don't want a fire hazard over your setups...

in my fishroom for example, I am maxed out at 3 setups (65,50,150) because if everything was on at once, I draw 12 amps which is the safe limit for a 15 amp circuit for continuous use.

I know some apartments around here have one half of the apartment on one 15 amp circuit and the other half on another..
