Here is my current 30 gallon set up. I currently house 2 Reds that are about 2.5 inches, 1 Gold that is about an inch, and a Chocolate Albino Pleco.
I am running a Marineland Power 200 filter. I also have a 10" air bubbler in the back right of the tank. I am feeding the P's frozen beefheart cubes and tropical fish flakes.
This is my first tank so far and i plan to set up a 55 for these when they get bigger. I also plan on other tanks. ?s and comments are welcome. Thanks
Tyler

No i have had it for about a month. The tank is actually a lot cleaner(Cloudiness) in person. The camera made it look really cloudy. I just out the gold and the pleco in there about a week ago.

Ok i will go tomorrow and get bloodworm cubes.
No they are red bellies. I know to stay away from Pacus.

never heard of macs and pygos shoaling together. Could be trouble in the future. I'm sure you know that your gonna need a much bigger tank in about a year. Other than that...cool. Nice fish.

I did read it. I assume your talking about the tank size. That's why I said "i'm sure you know" in my first little bit. I didn't see any mention that he knew that macs and RBP's were from two different genera, so I thought I'd point that out. Like I said great looking fish. Like he said..."open to suggestions." Thought I'd make a few.

30 gal. for 1 year is being awefully generous for 2 fast growing RBP's - 1 very aggerssive Mac and what probably is a dyed brown Albino Gibbiceps aka White Chocalate Pleco that reaches 10" almost over nite so long as they are supplimented with large amounts of vegitation matter like algaewafers and not kept on the P's high protien diet that causes internal bloat and kills it.

Much bigger tank indeed or 55 gal. x 3 - IMO your stock won't last very long togather in a 55 let alone a 30. The only suggestion I have is that you think about seperating all 3 different species into there own tanks if you intend on keeping them all for any length of time - WELCOME to MFK and the Wonderful World of Piranha keeping! -I commend you for asking for suggestions and/or advice - Best of luck and keep us posted.
