The aquariums that you see in my gallery were all personal drive. The last tank that you see was 13,000 gallons. I was stepping into the big league. But just got sick of SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!! Hated getting the call from a client at 10 at night saying nemos dead, with the kids freaking out in the backround. But had to do it cause it was my bread and butter, if anyone here is from LA you know the traffic you have to put up with everyday. God!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got so sick of it , and the price of gas! So as soon as I got the chance to cash out and relocate to a place where I can enjoy life . I jumped on it. Yes its connections. But its just like LA if you want to get ahead its all about who you know and how hard are you going to work 2 get it. And sure why not some Black arros too:D

Getting the paperwork and the permit for just getting a box of 20 pima into the country are too far costly, might as well just buying from your lfs..

I know that.. I'm talking even if they get here they need CITES paper work when you get them.. ;)

Paper work on the US side isn't easy.

An leopoldi (I'm assuming that is what you mean when you say 'black rays') are not something joke about. Brazil banned ray export for a reason. Too many are being taken out. The pet trade is going to destroy them as a species completely. I wouldn't suggest taking more.

il take 2!!!

Correct me if I am wrong Apisto Master, but what it looks like to me is that you started this thread to catch the attention of potential customers. When I say customers I mean importers, not hobbyist. If this is correct please state that so that Hobbyist quite asking you for some. You are not explaining the whole picture to them. I highly doubt you are going to go through all of the paperwork and shipping on your end for a $12 Fish. It seems to me that you posted this thread to get everyone all excited knowing how expensive Pimas are in the states and how much they are in Demand here and then tell everyone how cheap you sell them for. If you truly export fish to the states than you know good and well all of the paperwork involved and you know by the time they get all of the paperwork, permits, get them through customs and pay shipping it will cost them well over 200 dollars for a fish that you sold them for $12 and they could have bought from a vendor in the states for $125 and not go through all of the hassle. Not to mention it is not easy for someone to go and get permits for one or two fish simply because they want it. If is was then everyone would be doing it.

There is a old saying: "If it looks to good to be true, it probably is"

Nick: I won't answer for the starter of this thread but I think his original intent was to show off his farm/business. Then people started asking about them and getting hyped by the low price. I don't think that many wanted to buy them and those that were, were unrealistic from the get go. He's already said he doesn't make money from one or two fish and only on large orders and it would be cheaper for those interested in a couple fish just to buy from your LFS.

I remember a couple that wanted some. The guy from canada. Bigpleco who was interested in importing I'm guessing to try and make some money which I see nothing wrong with and he's smart enough an individual to figure out if it's worth it. Someone already did a write up on what it would cost for 20 fish roughly.

And then Skylar/Blake who are brothers and what most would call kids who have more dreams than all of us combined and make posts IMO more for post counts than for actually going through with plans.

Not busting anyones chops, and you're right in what you said but I don't think Apisto Master feels any other way than the same way you do. This was a long thread, believe me by page 16 I would have missed alot too if I hadn't seen it develop since page 1. My .02
