My Arapaima Gigas

For context, I'm an aquarist and our collection has two Arapaima Gigas- these aren't like personal fish, just ones I care for. I just haven't seen much of Arapaima on these forums

Thanks for the welcomes, it's nice to be here on the forum. I don't personally own monster fish, but I do work directly with them so I'm hoping my expertise there can help others that have questions.

Despite the forum name, not many people with proper monster fish like that. But if I win lotto one day...

Amazing looking thing. After seeing them in DC zoo I have been obsessed with one day having a huuge pond to keep them in

A load were imported to the UK this year but not seen anyone share them or their set ups

what sized tank?

The tank is 60,000 gallons. I love it, we've got the two Paimas in it, as well as some Pacu, Red Tail Cats, Oxydoras. Could sit and watch for hours
