I was closely observing my armatus and I noticed that it kept openning it's mouth. That when i realized that one of it's front bottom fangs was crooked inwards at around 30 degrees! The root of the teeth is a bit red and bloody. What happened? Did my armatus freak out and bash it's teeth against the glass. My armatus isn't all that skittish. Sometimes when my bichirs dart around, my armatus does get giddy and it swims franticly around the tank. Could the teeth just be about to fall off because it's shedding? Even if the tooth was crooked at such an angle, will that tooth fall off and grow back normally? I also noticed that the other tooth (that not crooked) is darker than usual and it has a black vein on it. Is it a new teeth? what is happening??
I heard that a new teeth of an armatus FOLDS into place. could the inwards crooked teeth be a new teeth that is about to fold into place or is it just the old bashed one?
