My aro got out, now what! please read!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
im just wondering, how come his back looks so crooked? thanks for your kind words everyone! Oh, and the cat thing was funny!

hmmmm from the photos i think it will recover in no time! the back curving is nothing serious like a broken spine or something.. its prolly coz of the flip flapping he made while out of the water.. i am glad he back on swimming! :)
Kudos to ur cat! hes the man! or the cat!? hes the hero! :headbang2 meybe u wanna go treat the cat a nice dinner on a nice seafood restaurant followed up by a movie... hmmmm i think Garfiled 2 wud be good! ^^

I might ask, on behalf of MFK, please give us a day to day update, at least untill he's out of the woods. I am very concerned and curious about this fish

I think your cat felt bad for it :) He should make it tho, hope everything is back to normal in a jiffy!

saturday my aro took a spill onto the floor(my fault). i did a 50% w/c with xtra stress coat and added some salt and he is doin great but he wont eat out of my hand anymore, hes pissed at me i can tell!

well he'still with us, his condition seems a little better. He's swimming around more but his eyes are still a little cloudy especially the right one. I tried feeding again today but he isnt interested in eating. He took one piece of food into his mouth but looked like maybe he hurt his jaw. He spit the food out right after he took it into his mouth. So well see, I hope he eats soon. The pics I took were of the left side, however the right side seems a little more damaged, He's missing some scales and his gill looks a little swollen, strange too becuase he only has a little drop eye on this side... Ill keep you guys posted. Any other tips or suggestions? Thanks for your support everyone!

My last arrow did the same thing.. i just want you to know that they can go a long time without eating with no harm done.. mine did not eat for 5 weeks.. I am being totally honest and sincere about this.. we were worried sick.. we tried everyday to feed him all kinds of foods that he had always ate.. but he just refused and swam away.. 5 weeks.. then we finally decided to try crickets...i was not happy about feeding live food but given the choice i did not have one..Anyway finally he went for the moving cricket and we were sooooo happy.. we fed him crickets for awhile and then slowly got him to eat the pellets again.. once his appetite increased he was back to normal..so do not stress if he does not eat right away.. i had 5 weeks of no eating.. and he looked a little thinner but no worse for it..oh and i just wanted to add large meal worms.. i just remenbered..took a long slow process of eating one a day to two a day..i mean it was slow.. but it worked .. then unfortunely he jumped out again and we did not find him in time... cover that tank with something heavy.. tape it down.. i sure do now!
