My Arowana Collection.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Haha you are not seeing things.. I actually have 3 platinums and 4 sb rtc.. been on the hunt for a sb platinum rtc for months with no luck

Are SoCal and the east coast that rich in these fish or are you importing more than those water bats of yours?

Anyhow the level of fish keeping is insane.

Are you a member on any of Arofinatics or the like?

Mine was like yours.. Put in black tank 6 months later you will know I am right...

No, you're wrong! Yours is much lower grade, hence more black spots

I got over keeping platy Rtc.. They are so cheap now. Just like snow Gar.. Also very cheap. The ones price still maintain is plat silvers and snow silvers.. That's what I am going after.

You're wrong again! Snow gar still costs more than your cheap plat silver and snow silver. Perhaps, enjoy your fish just like others, instead of calling other's fish cheap, and end up revealing how cheap your fish and you are!

We ended up exchanging our feelings for each other for hours:nono::cheers::duh:

Kelvin.. you should really learn to read a post correctly before assuming what Spatula wrote. Let me translate the post from Spatula so you can understand it.
Here is his post: 'I don't know you guys but according to the picture posted on the first page of this thread, I would have to agree with Vincentwugwg on this one. A real snow alligator gar would not have that much grey coloration on the top. '

The whole time you thought Spatula was talking about my gar when in fact he was commenting on yours... Kelvin.. Kelvin

Np sir! One of the best tanks on mfk ;)

I have had him in a all black tank for the past 2 months and still no black spots. The rtc posted is the one on the top or right rtc. The one on the left is a lower grade.

The current prices are :
Plat RTC sgd 400 to 700
snow spatula gar sgd 800 to 1000
Platinum silver sgd 4k (last known price at AK) sold out
Snow silver sgd 28k (according to king kong website)

It doesn't look like you'll ever be happy and content with your fish with your mentality. Your happiness with your fish seems solely dependent on whether or not the fish become "cheap" or not. Aren't they just as beautiful and entertaining when cheap as compared to pricey. To each his own, don't mean to judge, just trying to understand this mentality

No worries.. Just explain my mentality. I collect rare fishes. The price of the fish is indicative of it's rarity. Albino silvers, plat Rtc, snow and platinum hard, plat kong Ming are no longer rarity.

Ok brofong. I hope your rare silvers stay rare for you. The breeders will prob always catch up and make your rare fish not rare someday though. thx for the clarification

For catfishes and gar and albino and axanthix Asian or silver aro.. I don't touch them because they have been known to successfully farm bred them.

The same cannot be said for snow, platinUm silvers, black, ., pearl, and Asian Arowanas. These are the keepers.

Actually, you collect rare fish that's in the $2k range, for example, the albino silver you bought in 2003, or the so-call "snow" that you bought recently. You can only quote, but you can't afford King Kong quality fish. That's why I suggested you enjoy your fish, and stop calling other's fish cheap, and reveal how cheap you are!
