Thanks dude, appreciate it.. im loving your Aro too.. any agression issues amongst your tank mates?

My aro very peaceful at the moment minding his own business. I used to keep my Aro alone with the rays but not eating well. I decided to add some tankmates for competition for food. now my aro eats alike a pig.:)

Awesome set up and fish! :headbang2 I like the in wall look......fantastic.....monsters will come sooner then you think......;) Also great looking filtration.

looks great!
I'm the same as you just learning from this forum. My tank is smaller, i wish i'd have gone 72in and not 60in because i can't keep rays for life.
simple sump that looks like it will work well.
Unless you've got a power genorater for possible power outages, I'd read the "preparing for a power outage" sticky in the "set up and filtration" section.
I'd bag those ceramic rings so if the power goes out you can put them directly into you tank to keep the bactiria alive. Read the sticky.

I have an 2 AC/DC pumps that will automatically turn on in case of a power outage. 2 outlets are to the maintank and 2 outlet are in the ceramic rings chambers. :)

does airatting your fillter substrate keep bactiria alive if the power goes out?
I have ac/dc air pumps in my tank but not my sump.

I think it will help because most of what we call BB's are aerobic bacteria they need oxygen in order to survive. I just learn this practice in another forum (AF).
