my baby gar on the pond

nice looking pond and gar. how much money do u spend to build that pond? i planning to build concrete pond like yours in future. :D

Yohan, with two threads about carnage and death - you might want to reconsider alternative arrangements. Though i suppose it is unlikely pacu will outgrow your gator ... CK on the other hand is likely to end up fish food for gar.

i have seen my gar aggressive once, when i didnt feed it for a week out of desperation he turned to his tank mates. thats why i always give him enough food... come'on its not like we havent seen it done. but then again if aggression shows i got a 180 waiting for them. TLKMDN has done it right? so its not impossible. xiao.

Very true, dude. There are lots of success stories: TLKMDN have done it, I have done it too with an oscar (who is much smaller than gar). ... it is just that i was surprised by the miguel's photos of CK (quite big one) halfway down gars jaws (quite small one) lol As i always say it is a gamble - and depends on beastie. Good luck

PS: The post with gar's bitten of nose looked really nasty.... that is why i was a bit taken back by pacu combo

yeah saw it too i think half of the lower portion was off. anyway if the pacu does that to my baby gar hes not going to the 180g but in the frying pan:popcorn:
 
Nice pond man. So many gators in undersized tanks, glad to see yours is a lucky one. Good luck with the tankmates, is that a flowerhorn or a trimac? I'm guessing FH...

thanks man. its a male UGLY no kok flowerhorn man but who cares i still love him he look so wasted in an LFS, you know blurred water and stuff so i took him. turns out he got a great personality, hes a gentle beast in my previous thread i mentioned that i had a success with a flowerhorn in with a shimbungkin thats him.
