i've never had a ball, but the way i got my lopy off of live food was to kill a guppy and hold it right in front of him, he usually took it. and then i just weeked him from dead guppies to hikari sticks and them to evrything els i feed him. i'd prolly work for you too.

BP's can be stubburn to eat after transporting,there notourious for it,use force feeding as a last resort but try all your options first,fresh kill,frozen,live,different colour mice,different size,ect.
if the store only carries white mice then the snake will most likely only eat white mice,even if he don't eat keep offering it every day,if he doesn't eat for a while then your gonna have to try and force feed which really sucks

1. I do not want my snake being bitten by a rodent. I had a burm years ago that got bitten right through its upper jaw,even with many vet visits I still lost the snake due to infections.
2. I buy a couple dozen frozen rats at a time. I get a discount that way and I dont have to go to the store very often.
cheaper and safer. I've seen many a snake with bite wounds from an unwanted meal or simply a meal that was grabbed wrong. Even when struck by a snake, the rodent will still gnaw on whatever is in reach and can inflict some nasty damage on its way out the door.
Of coure, its always more fun to watch a snake eat live, so that is much more important than the snakes' health.

personally I only eat fresh meat.. even before meat is made ready to eat it begins to decompose.. ..I know this snake was wild caught, and it would never have frozen or dead anything in the wild. I've watched it hunt down a mouse in its cage and I don't see getting bitten in its future.. I guess that's a risk I'm willing to take.
Too bad the snake doesn't have a say in it....and exactly how do you know that yours was wild caught?
Your pet yur choice. I see it differently, I would rather not take a chance on injuring another pet.
You say you only eat fresh meat, well I have a slaughter house/meat market about ten minutes from my house and I buy a half a cow at a time. And I can pretty much guarantee that your "fresh" meat is hanging in a freezer for at least a week BEFORE it hits the butchers block. Otherwise it would be so tough you couldnt stand it.
