My Betta died.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I would say halfmoon, there is no full or near full split in the tail
My Betta has a split about the same size as this one, and this one is labeled as double tail.

Sorry about the delayed pics. About an hour ago I released the Betta into the tank, but I noticed right away that the current for the filter was too much for him. For the past hour I've been tinkering with my filter by adding filter padding into the intake to achieve the best flow. The flow rate it is at now is a little too slow, but I can't raise it a small amount from where it is now, only large amounts, which are too much for the fish.

You could try putting a spraybar on the outlet, if you don't already have one. It should allow a decent flow that is well spread out and will hopefully, keep the fish happy.

Sorry for your loss. Old age sometimes takes our friend and there's nothing that you can do.
Here is a video, that will encourage you to go out and get another one of these amazing fish. It is true that sometimes people feed these fish too much. In the wild, food is fairly scarce, plus the more you feed, the more water quality declines.
