my bichirs thread

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Hey it's always nice to see you pop in for an update once in awhile.:) Why did you have to post pic of that PBB? I was so close to making up my mind to not get another bichir but those pics are making me reconsider my decision.:D I also have a congicus light like your. It looked different from the rest since the first day I got it home.

hey thanks a lot everyone! :) i'll add more updates of other bichirs when i get the chance, hopefully soon :D
for those wondering about the sand, it's 3M colorquartz, S grade.

Gorgeous PBB as usual, and nice endlicheri as well. That endli on the 1st 2 pics seems to display ansorgii patterns - nice.
it's because that's an ansorgii :D

here's the other 'blond'. this one has an obvious yellow compared to the light morph posted before (the 3rd pic above shows the real life color pretty well). Also, the stripes of this one here do sometimes darken as you can see in the two pics, whereas the one posted before never really shows much of the stripes.

and the oddball with oddball patterns. my 2nd biggest congicus. it's very dark compared to the other ones, and shouldn't be a substrate effect.

last pic conveniently shows another individual, and 3 congicus in one pic :)

more to come later :)

This is a bit odd with my congis too when I saw yours and made me think....

My oddball patterned congi have also a dark base color while the one with the regular patterned are more yellowish or we called them blond in color. Lol! Same with Fishncash congi. He's also with a regular patterns and also a blond. Same with CDM's. Not sure why but may need to see more pics of other people's congi with regular pattern and oddball patterns.
