This is a bit odd with my congis too when I saw yours and made me think....

My oddball patterned congi have also a dark base color while the one with the regular patterned are more yellowish or we called them blond in color. Lol! Same with Fishncash congi. He's also with a regular patterns and also a blond. Same with CDM's. Not sure why but may need to see more pics of other people's congi with regular pattern and oddball patterns.

i don't think that's the case though. congicus colors come in yellowish to brown (though brownish is more typical). Three of mine with regular pattern are the typical brownish color, and then the one i just posted above is yellow (or what i think of as blond). I know Fishncash has a yellow too with regular pattern. CDM's big one with regular pattern is the typical brownish, and his smaller one varies from a typical to darker brown with a slightly irregular (but not really oddball) patterns.

i don't remember seeing your oddball patterned congicus. you have too many in your tank post a pic if you like.

oh and Jakob, since you asked about sizes before, for the three congicus i just posted, the yellow one is 17", the biggest one is 25.25", and the oddball one is 21.25".

Ditto on Hao's post, most of your bichirs are huge so you dont really notice. Still an impressive size. I think you have the best collection of us all.
