Agreed. Andy your Haitiensis you keep inspired me to pick some up myself. I split an order of 6 with a friend. He has 2 and I have 1 left so we'll see how it goes. Pretty nice to have a place to go like this and see mature fish people keep to get a sense of what they're getting into. I'm loving my Festae, and so far mine haven't been in any conditions to bring out any crazy aggressive freakshow. I have a pair whose spawn are now free swimming in a 220g with a mature Oscar, Jack Dempsey, and a Parachromis F and so far everything is going ok.
Just took these feel compelled to share with all the Festae love, there are free swimmers under them...if you look closely. Is it bad form to share your pics on someone else's thread? Love all our fish so much, going to share anyways.
Minutes after taking this she's darting at an Red Oscar in the corner that's about 1.5x her length and maybe 2x her weight.

Niceties and mannerisms aside .... You have a beautiful pair there... The pic does not do a complete justice for the pair
Nice Festae! I am hoping to obtain a pair in the nearer future. A toss up of those gorgeous fish or some Acarichthys heckelii. Either way I cant go wrong. Thanks for sharing the pics!
I got them at a local aquarium store.. I believe they're made by Aqua One.....
