I must admit I dont mind bowfishing for trash fish either. The ONLY fish I couldnt kill in that mater would be a large alligator gar just becuase of the fish's age. Id merk the hell out of any carp, buffalo, smaller gar or other trash fish if given the chance!

I used to bowfish a lot. I have changed my view on gar.
What is a trash fish? That is the question. I shoot the crap out of carp, especially in the rivers. Gar are a native fish.
 
well a trash fish is anything you cant eat that also isnt a trophy. Gars are considered trash fish because of there low quality flesh. But an alligator gar of size 80 pounds up would be a trophy so not trash. All carp are trash fish, as well as other gars and large suckers and chubs
 
Wow!! 2 non-mod members are arguing over what the mods will/might say even though no mod has posted any opinion whatsoever. AND, one offers his thread on the chopping block before hearing any kind of peep from the staff.

BTW, awesome mat fluke. You don't see too many like them around populated areas nowadays
 
nice!!!!! my grandmother caught a 6' halibot that weighed 306lbs and took 3hrs to reel it in!!! just to let you it was deep sea fishing with that really really strong line!!!
 
better swimmer then i! congrats! imacine if some one would have got it before it got big.
 
how much would it retail if you sold it?

lmao :ROFL: i spear fish and english theres worse things you can do to fish and they on here like fish in under sized aquariums at least you eat ur catch!

and there is big difference between the species well done
