1) why did you drill all those holes in the lid?
2) where did you get that?

1) The bucket was used for other filtration system, that's why that holes are there. It can be done without that holes.

2) The rotative bar? I bought in a store of gardening tools.

As i've told you, the spining system is the best way to go because the water is spread thru all the bioballs.

I'll be very interested to see how this holds up over the course of a year or so, These are great ideas as it really does use all the potential of the bioballs or what ever bio media your using but the problem has always been that these "sprayers" are always clogging up even with the pre-filtration in place it seems that your just buying a small amount of extra time before they clog.

From a noise standpoint how are you rating this so far? is it louder than a regular drip plate or would you say the same or less?

I was kinda wondering about the longevity of it as well...

thats really cool. so im guessing your gonna be pumping water TO the filter and then another pump back to the aquarium? id like to see this thing in action!

It's working since November 2007 and until now there's no problem.

It's less noisier then a regular drip plate. With that cover i almost don't listen it.

No, no. I only use one pump. The bucket is over the tank and the water flows thru the bioballs to the tank.
