I hate to break it to you but you guys are giving fish too much credit. There is now way a fish has the brain power to think, " Oh theres that bastard I want to kill him! Now I just have to jump out of this bucket to get him!" More then likely the fish was using a natural response to jump out of a confined body of water in hopes of getting to a larger one.

when i first got my baby pacu it bit the petsmart ladys hand. she was like well im gonna put this one back hes too mean. i immediatly jumped at her. no way was she putting that one back. that one was crazy. it was so crazy it just jumped out of the water and fried. poor bastard. you shoulda seen how deep the cut on the ladies hand. too bad
