Here's my Blue Acara to see if it looks like your fish.

Yes it looks very similar to this, but as cross pointed out, the Blue Acara's head is much different in shape, which mine doesn't have.

But hey, this gives me an excuse to upgrade to a 55 gallon :nilly:

Its amazing how much they look like Green Terrors when small

Some what true for an untrained eye. I have studied these fish for years so I pretty much got it down pat on whats a Gold Saum/Silver and a A. Pulcher. True they look similar but the head is still prominant when even 1"TL. Just look for fat heads and little bodies with smaller fins and you have a Blue Acara but if it is more proportioned with more squiggly face markings that aren't broken up as much than you got a Gold Saum/silver. Now for true terrors you should definately be able to identify them as they look WAY different body shape and markings than Blue Acara. The shape of True Terrors is more slim than that of a Gold/silver. The fins are more feather like and they don't have black dots on sides along with alot more full blue coloring.

I wasn't going to comment until someone said what I was thinking. Definitely not an Acara but, a nice looking fish. Here is my adult and one of her offspring at about ~4 months maybe.
