No one rules the whole tank. It's divided into territories. There is a pecking order though if everyone is out in the open water. The Jag takes top honors, the Pike is second, Festae 3rd......for now. I don't get too much fighting though...maybe it's too crowded lol.

OK, Thanks.

I will be keenly interested in the amount of success you have in keeping these guys long term in that tank. All your fish look in great condition, as they grow I bet the tank will be a major attraction in MFK community:)

Please keep us updated!

Thanks Oscarguy. When I upgraded to this tank not too long ago, I did a poll and the majority vote was for a mixed community tank. I figured the best way to keep mega aggressive cichlids was to grow them up together from fry. I then ordered a bunch of lil' babies from Rapps and put them all together and the rest is history.

I'll definitely keep everyone updated...I love showing off my fish. :)

I have a pretty similar mix in a 220 that have mostly grown up from a small age. No problems, and it's now been a year. Lots of water changes though to keep down nitrates.

One of these days when I get enough time to learn about drip systems that sounds cool. As of now I'm doing a 60-70% water change once a week.

well based on the appearance of the fish, what you're doing now is definitely working. now as they get bigger though you'll have to do those water changes a 2-3 times a week but i'm guessing you're already prepared for that.

I know what you mean about needing the time to learn about drip systems...that's something I plan to do as well when I get moved and setup my tank(s) the way I really want. you might want to bookmark this page, I know I'm going to...http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27474&highlight=drip

Jason thanks for the link. I bookmarked it for later.

Thanks to everyone else too. I appreciate all the compliements and any suggestions or advice is always welcome.

So when you are doing 3x weekly water changes, just pretend you have 3 265 gallon aquariums, not just one.

Awesome collection though! I hope everything works out, because you will have an amazing tank in a few more months.

Tank looks good, and the fish are beautiful. Not overstocked IMO, but then again this comes down to taste. How is your carbonate hardness(kH), one thing I had to start doing with my 180g is buffering the water. My kH is low and with all the biological filtering going on the pH kept dropping. Hopefully your kH is at a level where you won't have to contend with this.

Again the tank looks great.

I don't know what my kH is sorry I'm not that technical of an aquarist. Maybe it's something I need to research? Thanks for the compliments, I hope I can keep them healthy. It IS overstocked but that's part of my experiment mwuahahaha.
