Ok Here she is.

Ok You got your basic pump, connected to pvc
000_2007.JPG

It goes to a spray spray bar

Into a bucket of media of your choice, this sits on a shelf above the tank
000_2009.JPG

From under the shelf go into the bottom of the bucket with pvc enough were you a a few inches of sitting water, you dont want all the media wet, you want half wet and half dry

The filtered water then drains back into the tank with the help of gravity, seing as its on a shelf above the tank

heres the finished product, shes been runnin great for 2 months

If you would like more details or any certain pictures or if you plan to make your own and need some more information feel free to ask, i'll be happy to help

The 2 red handles you see on the pvc are simply shut offs, there not required but handie

Looks good bro and very easy to make and would work really well.

The only problem i see is if a power failure happens all the water in the sump will be drained back into the tank and the BB will die off.

Correct me if i'm wrong

no the bucket is at the draining water level, when the power goes off everything stays put

good job. I have been meaning to beef up my filtration for a while now..
thanks for the inspiring pics.

wish i could do this....

What media are you running?
Theres a bunch of just shower scrubbies, some filter floss, a couple old Filter pads and some lava rock
