My Chichlids fish tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
This thread's been going for a couple of weeks now. Right from the get go and the first reply by The Morning The Morning on post #4 various members have chimed in regarding all what's wrong with the OP's set up, every post has been quite rightly negative. All we seem to be getting off the OP though are pictures and videos, no comments on how he's going to turn this tank round. Then on post #28 we finally get a response, which is to feed every other day instead of daily, and to get a gravel vac, and maybe a bit of pothos.

I'm doubting very much that this is going to do much. The OP needs to be thinking along the lines of thinning out his stock considerably or going a lot bigger in tank size to house them all.

And i'm with FIU Panther FIU Panther in believing that the OP is not going to take the right steps no matter what the advice is.

All that's left is for us to hope that the OP tests his water parameters and then realises the situation and he might just do the right thing.

The frightening thing for me is that we haven't even had a mention regarding parameters and/or water change schedule. The HITH isn't a good sign at all.

C'mon guys.. don't be mean.

As I said... The fish are healthy.

Currently the fish are still babies and they will not all be together in the future in the same tank.

The third tank (Eheim Vivaline Led) is comming in June (with Fluval FX6 and 2X Eheim Biopower 240).

I am a very responsible owner but I can't buy everything overnight.

Absolutely, no one is being mean, just trying to guide you in the right direction and save you problems further down the line. You can't possibly say your fish are healthy just because they swim and eat. The signs of HITH tell us we are correct. You don't wait for your fish to become ill, you try to stay a little pro-active in preventing them from becoming ill in the first place. And the single most important thing you can do is to have sensible stocking in adequately sized tanks and a water changing regime to go with it.

Your tank's too small, your stock is too much for it and we're still clueless on your water change schedule and parameters. So basically you're failing miserably on two fronts at least.

What do you expect us to do when you post loads of pictures and videos, just send you a load of likes and smiley faces and not try to make you see the error of your ways?

At least on a positive note you seem to have some plans in place to help rectify the situation. Be sure to post pictures of your new set ups and who knows, next time you post pictures of your tanks you might get a load of likes!
