Did you clean the filter in tank water?

It is really a good idea to have a test kit on hand for times like these. It's not very expensive and can tell you quickly if there is a water problem or not. Otherwise we are just guessing. Ph isn't very important. The kits you really want are ammonia and nitrite, these are the ones that can kill fish quickly.
It sounds like an ammonia spike but without readings I can't be sure.

ill see if i can borrow some money off my mum and try get a amonia and nitrite test kit
the tank has been running for awhile soo i would a thought the amonia and nitrite woulda gone by now

+1,

test kits pay for themselves at times like this.

my guess would be you have cleaned in tap water and with all the water changes caused the tank to cycle again.

but definatley need water parameters to shed any light on this.

will your lfs test your water for u? mine will if you ask them, and they dont charge.

good luck.

Yes but if there is alot of debris and waste it can build up.What substrate you have?Gases can build up if not stirred or moved about to get rid of dead spots
