unfortunately you're probably going to have to end up taking most of the rock out, netting them, and replacing the rock

:( sorry

Damn thats cheap... I would love to...but im in india..and shipping them would be expensive...

I can't find a fish cheaper than 8-10$ (usd) here...

Awww....must be an expensive hobby for you then. If you ever consider going on vacation...come to Hong Kong....there's a huge street with 90% of the shops being aquarium shops - great prices great variety...just send your fish home or something!

:( sorry

I only got one piece of LR...all the other rock is solid and is sunken into the substrate...I got both of them out today and put them in a glass aquatic plant grower filled with polluted seawater...see how long they survive.

The first one came out no problem but the second one took a while to catch...I had to chase it until it got stuck between a rock and the front glass and then I attacked it savagely with my tongs until it was almost stunned...and then I netted it.

I seriously hate them. :(

take some food in the tongs, dip the tongs in the aquarium...then when the clowns come to eat the food, with your other hand SLOWLY get the net close to them and capture!!
You have to have patience for this method....

I did that to my clown fish (mine is a 55 gal tank with a LOT of LR) and now I have put him in the sump...

OK new questions.

What does zeolite do?

I saw this cephalopod at the LFS today. It had two "dumbo ears" and some tentacles. Of course I did NOT buy it, but I want to know what it is...

I also saw a crustaecean that had a pale white exoskeleton. It looked really like an ant, but te abdoment had swimmerrettes and it had pincer claws at the front. Even the head was shaped like an ant. It had two extremely tiny eyes (smaller than ".").

Oh, and I also went to an acrylic shop and told them to make me a refugium from a sheet of 18"x30" clear acrylic. What should I put in it other than macroalgae? I'm looking into caulupera (spelling in doubt) because it looks awesome. I am also trying to find a source of copepods and amphipods...

anyone? D:

I am also planning my fuge now. (It is already being made)

What should I have? Explain the functions of the following to me:
Deep Sand Bed
Breeding pods
24hr lighting - is this really nessecary?
Is there a way to arrange my macroalgae so as much of it can photosynthesize efficiently as possible?
Should I get a skimmer for my sump or is it optional?

Plus please answer my other questions please D:

I think you are talking about some kind of cuttlefish. what color was it?

you need macro algae and all the different worms and pods... search on craigslist for macro algae, when there is too much in my sump I sell some for like five bucks. it has all the copepods and amphipods in them. I'm sure you can find someone to buy from on craigslist.

Deep sand bed promotes the growth of anaerobic bacteria. they are really beneficial to keep your water clean.

I don't know about breeding pods

I have the lights on for 12 hours a day

just make sure that you have a bright enough light for the algae. there is no need to arrange them in any way.

I would recommend a skimmer.

Awesome! Thanks for going into such detail....the cephalopod was dark mottled gray with two round flaps on it's round body. and it had some tentacles and eyes on either side of it's body, in front of the flaps.

Less than an inch long.

Hmm...I already have some macroalgae from the LFS and it had some pods in it but they don't seem to be too prolific...

I want to use direct sunlight because my fuge will be on a windowsill.

Since I am using the water pump from my cheap protein skimmer, I might construct a compartment INSIDE of the fuge as a skimmer and set the pump up to make bubbles again. How does this sound?

it wasn't this was it?

or more like this?

possibly in different colors

either caulerpa or chaetomorph would do great for a fuge...

It looked like a cross between both. It swam with its tentacles in front, but instead of the cuttlefish's undulating thing, it had the first octopus's flaps. The body was very very round and the animal had eyes like the cuttle's.

I want caulerpa, it looks nice. But it surprised me at $9 per small bit attached to rock...

I have some sort of plant (macroalgae) that has little fruit/grape like bubbles...

Anyway...do you have any insight on the antlike crustaecean? :(

Oh, and I collected some more hermits today for my mantis. One of them has a clutch of eggs hanging to her, inside the shell. And I also got some "shore shrimp", possibly Palaemon.
