i think this is interesting. i dont really know much about this stuff but i did see the article and pics of the giant antarctic -or wherever it was- species. that water is super cold, so much more oxygen. i think your theory is a good one. i think its very possible that more oxygen could effect how large a fish grew.. to a certain degree though. to see any crazy noticeable changes the fish would have to have increased o2 consistently throughout generations. i think that under these circumstances, a species of fish would evolve to have a greater average maximum size.

im thinking about my oscar here.. warmer temps speed the metabolism up so they grow faster. same with snails and many other species. warmer temps mean less oxygen.. no actually nvm about that 1 lol, different thing.
