i think this is interesting. i dont really know much about this stuff but i did see the article and pics of the giant antarctic -or wherever it was- species. that water is super cold, so much more oxygen. i think your theory is a good one. i think its very possible that more oxygen could effect how large a fish grew.. to a certain degree though. to see any crazy noticeable changes the fish would have to have increased o2 consistently throughout generations. i think that under these circumstances, a species of fish would evolve to have a greater average maximum size.

im thinking about my oscar here.. warmer temps speed the metabolism up so they grow faster. same with snails and many other species. warmer temps mean less oxygen.. no actually nvm about that 1 lol, different thing.

i think someone should expiriment

so hot water increases growth? maybe ill try more O2 through an air stone and 83f water?

Would love to experiment these theories but i wouldnt know how they would grow with normal water temp and less O2
 
Humans are growing larger because of better diet and other factors, not just air.
You don't grow WWF giants on rice alone.
You don't have to give your fish much O2.
Just enough. It can't use more than it can use.
If that makes sense.

people mate with others who they are attracted to... this also happens in the wild with animals. they mate with which ever is more attractive...

Black guys like big butts (dont try to turn this into a racist statement and say its not true...). and look. 99% of the black community (out here atleast) has HUGE butts. they like 'em that way so they grow 'em that way.

yeah but they aren't genetically like that, they hit the treadmill or get implants... nobodies being genetically reprogrammed to have a huge @$$

y'know i attracted to the 'perfect 10' person but god knows im not having a baby with one anytime soon... making babies with those traits programed into them is the only way to change a population... my daughter isn't going to inherit her mom's fake t!t$

then again in the carbonifourous period the air was full of oxygen and because of that we had giant spiders and millipeds.
