What are you currently feeding yours? With the driftwood in the tank is he capable to swim down and pick up worm or other food from tank bottom?

He's on shrimp, we'll the drift wood is gone already to make more swimming space on the bottom since I also added a ray now. Normally my aro will get the shrimp as soon as I through it in, so it won't even sink down to the bottom
