1 last try guys. 2 ruti's 55g with 100% RO water this time and a temp at 78

So this is a good start. I decided to temporarily house them in a 20L so that I can switch them to pellets easier. I already had about 30 fatheads in the tank being fattened up with veggie flakes and after only a few hours, about 20 of the minnows are gone! Once they're all gone, the transition will begin. Ray from Amazing Fish already got them taking dead smelt so hopefully that'll make it easier to get them onto pellets.

Now after actually looking at them, I'm not quite sure that these are rutilus. Their head shape and just overall look doesn't quite match with my previous ruti's which is strange. 1 of them is a lot larger than my old ones so I could understand why that 1 would look different but the smaller 1 is the same size, if not smaller than the others and looks exactly like the big 1 which is nothing like the old ones. Thoughts? (Rob I'm looking at you!)

They look so similar to my Dottie that I had to do a double take to make sure those weren't my pics.IMO, there isn't even a question about the ID of these guys.

Haha thanks Rob! That's what I thought. I'm just confused cuz their heads seem so much flatter and wider than my previous ruti's.

I had Dottie from 6" to 11" and that is one of the main things that I noticed: as she got larger, she became more and more "goonch like".
