My Discus fish went beserk!

Not really an expert..... But I would be almost certain the fish died of shock... Levels not correct. I had three angel's do almost the same thing. Good luck

No, it doesn't. If the discus is acclimated well to a diferent environment, they'll be fine together.

my dad did this, he pored a cup of tank water in the bag waite 20 minutes and then pored more till it has reached 1 hour, then he put the fish in.

It shouldn't have been a problem but this doesn't explain why the discus went berserk. Did you do anything else after introducing the discus? What foods did you give them? I'd still retrieve the water tests though just to be sure and think the acclimation procedure over. Try drip acclimation on the new batch if you wish to try again. thats too complicated, i dont get it. we even put the bag in the tank so the water can adjust to the temperature. maybe they had a disease.

No disease would ever make an instant kill like that. This is very unusual. How long did they go berserk?

my dad feeds it, but i think it went on like that for 3 to 4 days till they died of exhaustion.

could discus be afraid of noises and vibrations? cause my house has alot of guitarist.

we also change 20% of the water a day and add a mineral call black water.

non of the food is live food, they are all store brought foods, so i dont know whats wrong. we kept one for 3 months and the same thing happened to him so i dont think its the water.

by the way what is nitrates and nitrites?
