Thanks! Yeah, my first wood project ever!! Here's a quick update. Got the wood for the doors, mocked them up, and installed some MDF trim. Hope to have it done in the next few days...MommyJulia;1709331;1709331 said:That is really nice. And that is your first one ever? It looks very sturdy, I bet that will go soo nice with the tank. Esp with that asian theme like the other pic you posted on a diff thread. Can't wait to see it finished!
thx! actually, you really dont need any real tools. other than the basic hand tools, you just need a miter saw. I got lucky and borrowed it from my cousin. you could even rent it. I got the doors cut from lowes since the miter saw couldnt cut them.addicted2cichlids;1716203;1716203 said:good deal man! stands lookin good! i wish i had the tools. im also putting a stand together for a 200 that i ordered which my lfs actually called me today and it turns out to be a 210. anyways, i know its not gonna look as nice as your! itll be plain as hell! keep it up man!

They can actually do all your cuts. the first few are free, then theyll charge you $0.25 per cut. Just be sure to measure and mark it yourself. my local lowes has some real dingbats that cant measure 20 7/8" to save their lives!!! they ruined two $17 redwood 2x8's!!!!
