My lights came, so in the end I had 100 blue, and 500 white leds. To say the least I am disappointed and led lights for the 330gal project is a FAILURE.
It sucks because the lights look SOOOO cool, and give off this nice "soft" color. I beleive I would need 2,000 leds for the entire tank. And running 20 led strings is something I do NOT want to do. And I dunno if its correct but at 7watts per string, thats 140watts vs the 128 I run now.
Heres the pics anyway

Just led's

NOW I decided to test out the spiral bulbs. This test is with ONE 26watt spiral
Shop light on left, spiral on right
Just spiral
How I put it on haha
So I am saddened that one improperly mounted spiral completely blew out my 600leds in terms of brightness. In that sense I could just run 3 13 watt spirals get the same effect I have now and use 39watts instead of 128.
But iv been checking out those led flood light bulbs that say I can draw 5 watts and get the lighting effect of a 40watt bulb, so I "could" go that way and run 3 and have 15watts total draw. But if that idea failed id flip a lid.....
