my DIY rock cave

i think it has character which alot of caves which are premanufactured do not have... gd thinking
if you use a sheet of plastic or mesh to silicone the stones to itll be more sturdy.
In fact you could use a piece of 4" or 6" PVC pipe sliced in half for a form and silicone the stones to it and it'll be super sturdy, amd you leave the PVC in place.
A stone arch depends on the stones interlocking tightly to hold its shape. (on dry land)
if you want to go lightweight then maybe a sheet of aquarium divider, ya know the kind, its has like a million holes drilled in it?

I like the way you think junkie and when I get a chance doc joe I will be sure to get moving on a DIY cave thread of my own. I have my own DIY work in my tanks I just need to get photos taken and uploaded
my cave thread is up so you go into the DIY it's pretty fresh I made it yestirday or if you search my user name it will be in there
i have not laughed so much in ages ,, i am sitting here wetting myself with tears running down my cheeks with laughter ,,
dont get me wrong ,, the caves are ace and i will have a go at making one , its just the first 2 pages of this thread had some comments that i found very amusing ,, the bit where someone said ''your fish dont seem to like it '' and then the bit where someone said your fish wont fit in there , lol''
no disrespect , just the comments really tickled me ,, i will post a pic when i make a cave , but for now here is a pic of the tears in my eyes that my wife took while i was reading this thread ,
