Is that the definition of 'Sorta' which means `Nothing like` ? :grinno:

Well maybe an Airplane hanger for the flintstones i suppose ... :naughty:

Seems like the exact same dimensions as an airplane hanger to me....My point was that while it is made of natural stone it doesn't really look natural. It looks contrived. It looks man made. That's just not my taste. I like things more natural....

well, i soaked nmy first rock structure, and when i took it out it was veryy flexible and started to begin to crumble. anyone know why that might have happened? im building one thats twicwe the size as that one and dont want it to cave in and need some help with this dilemma. any help is appreciated.

Make sure the rocks you are using are totally clean...Arn't you using aquarium sealer?
Try "3M 5200 Marine Adheasive"

yes im using perfecto manufacturing aquarium sealant, but its like, when out of water, its fine and strong, but once i let it sit it water for a day, it begins to weaken. i dont get it

i dont why its giving but to the problem of the silicon sticking i built one a few yews ago using a bowl and i covered it in vasoline and i mean smoothed it and then built the rock cave leavin' a whole in the front and let it sit for a day then removed the bowl and let it sit for a week, never had a problem out of it until i moved and crushed it i also think this will work for gravel.

Maybe look for a water proof/fish safe adheasive rather than a sealant...

Very cool idea !!!! You just gave me some new ways of making caves for the loaches other than store bought or plain pvc. You :headbang2

I found a diy cave made out of pvc pipe on the internet awhile ago. I think it'd work better because it'd be more stable and using the gravel they call for it'd look more natural if you do it the right way. http://aquarium.shuru.com/ this is the one I found, but there are a bunch of others that would work for african cichlids and other fish. btw, the cave they show looks horrible in the aquarium, but you can make it look better. somehow...
