i am doing something a lot like what yo did, mainly cause you gave me the idea a while back and just started now. im using legos as an iner structure to build off of, and have found that oce the silicone is dry, they peel right off if stuck, no messs, no extra paper, no hastle. im 16, hense the reason im using legos, some of the older folks might not have such easy accesss to it tho lol. i have one drying right now on it and i will take some pics of them tommorrow. mine are fully enclosed though with one opening.

well, i fianlly got pics. i finshed most of it already but was able to get some in between pics. now bear with me, theyre not MONSTER TANKS or tank buster fish but they do for the time being. heres one of the bottom caves

the caves are made from marble chips normally used for potting and such so theyre not tha big. maybe only an inch in diameter at most for the majority of the rocks. i will get some lego pics when the base of the smaller cave dries. hope you like!

no no no, i didnt use that glue lmaoo, i used aquarium silicone sealant, bu that was the closest thing to me that everyone knew the size of for the most part, just as a size comparrison

thank you verry much, since this is my first DIY thing, that means a lot. how long does it take to ACTUALLY cure, because it says allow 48 hrs, but then it say achieves max. strength in 7 days. does that mean i can put it in after 48 hrs, and it will be stroong after 7 days, or should i wait 7 days? how long after did you put yours in?

ok, thanks, just wasnt sure about the silicone, thanx though. i'll post pics this weekend of it in my tank, im soaking it for all of saturday and then suinday im puttting them in the tank.
