my diy smoker....

so i added a cool temp gauge,forget what it runs at...lol
also ive smoked some of the best turkeys you have tasted!
one on thanksgiving and the other on xmas.
as you can see from the pix,ive used it a lil since the last pix i posted...lol
this thing smells sooo good,,every time you walk by it you smell it and go..

you need a vent to control the heat... so far it looks awesome

yes you need a vent to control the heat i have a smoker a buddy built me its basicly a fire place that should be in a house lol but has slots so i can raise or lower the grate and the pit is big enough so i can have an off set fire to control the temp for wood apple or any fruit wood is realy good but i mainly use suger maple i have an over abundance in my yard it has a really good flavor

Hey thats one good way get back your taxes until you burn off the paint , the fine could be expensive... Smoke baby, smoke.... Neighbors will go nuts with the smell may call fire dept....... some where on them roads some one aint going know the speed limit...

i made an Ugly drum smoker(google it if ya need to). i love the way it turns out food.......and if i need to, i can always throw and electric hot plate in the bottom.


i really like yours, i have been considering something a bit more permanant in the yard. something like this might be a nice weekend beer drinking project.

soo i got a rotisserie thing....
needless to say in no time i had it cut up and mounted to my smoker!
i have tested it on a pork loin wrapped in bacon and a whole chicken.
both sooo dang juicy and yummy,,,,,

my uncle owns a smoked meat company up here sells plenty of things, we just finished building a full decked out shed for for smoking meat will be running it lots this winter
