Now back to the topic. That really sucks that a gar of that size and age died.

I ask a vaild question, like why/how this gar died and now I am a troll?
Some of you people amaze me with your stupidity and nonsense.

I don't intend any sarcasm but with you being the "Gar God" and whatnot, I don't understand how anything could have been overlooked or forgotten that would lead to his death. I mean with how much you rip everyone on here for doing little things wrong, I can't begin to fathom how something like this could happen on your watch, unless the truck crashed and burned or something. What exactly went wrong?

Also, you smoke cigarettes? Maybe giving my gar KFC a few times wasn't the best thing to do, but smoking cigs? I hope you take care of your fish better than you do yourself.

Was that related to this thread in any way?

i shouldn't be justifying your moderately inquisitive comments laced with an excessive amount of sarcasm and asinine statements with a response, but what the heck, i have an extra couple minutes...

PS -- to the OP, sorry for the derail, but i was also a big fan of this fish, and have high respect for those involved with its care. the post in question needed to be responded to as it was disrespectful to multiple parties and little more than trolling.

it normally functions with people not being idiots and saying things that are pointless in a thread that is people feeling for the loss of an amazing fish...go away.

and sorry to derail. like i said, a sad loss of a great fish..

as to the fish itself, i'm sure richard can share the details if he chooses to, hopefully for the benefit of others, not because your original post justifies a response.

i believe the fish died in transit due to a miscalculation/OD in the fish tranq; as with all large animals, the response to tranquilizers is difficult to predict, and many many times has resulted in the death of the animal. fishes, particularly primitive fishes, respond to tranqs quite variably. i think that was the main issue, or at least a component of why the fish died. again, richard can clarify if he chooses--

More responses and yet 0 answers.... Of course the truck didn't crash and burn, that's why i'm trying to figure out WTF happened to the fish so it doesn't happen again to someone else.

This is getting interesting because I have now asked the question about 5 times and have gotten **** for an answer.
Maybe someone here will be adult enough to just answer the question so we can all move forward with some education of what happened to that gar so it doesn't happen again.
Or you can keep being children by bickering and answering EVERYTHING but the main question at hand so this thread can continue with nonsense.
Either way it's entertaining to me so carry on and I just wait for a real answer
