i believe the fish died in transit due to a miscalculation/OD in the fish tranq; as with all large animals, the response to tranquilizers is difficult to predict, and many many times has resulted in the death of the animal. fishes, particularly primitive fishes, respond to tranqs quite variably. i think that was the main issue, or at least a component of why the fish died. again, richard can clarify if he chooses--

Holy crap... I got a partial answer

Looks as if I will have to continue my quest with Richard to solve this mystery. I had no idea they used tranqs when transporting these fish.

More responses and yet 0 answers.... Of course the truck didn't crash and burn, that's why i'm trying to figure out WTF happened to the fish so it doesn't happen again to someone else.

This is getting interesting because I have now asked the question about 5 times and have gotten **** for an answer.
Maybe someone here will be adult enough to just answer the question so we can all move forward with some education of what happened to that gar so it doesn't happen again.
Or you can keep being children by bickering and answering EVERYTHING but the main question at hand so this thread can continue with nonsense.
Either way it's entertaining to me so carry on and I just wait for a real answer

would also like to add that you'd think someone keeping illegal fish would be less of an @$$ on said fish forum. i think you just need to chill out a bit--

I am a very "chill" person and would love to play nicely. However it's just like my lettuce question, I get no real answers and all stupid comments.

I have always learned that the only stupid question is the one that isn't asked.
So I asked if would be helpful to feed my gar lettuce because I read somewhere that it would be good for them. I could easily stuff some in a shrimp and feed it to him. I asked this question with all seriousness and all I got was mocked and flamed for asking. To this day I still don't know if I should feed him lettuce or vegetables because I can't get a straight forward answer on here.

well if you would do some digging on this forum, you'd find that vegetable matter can be helpful, it's just advised to use foods like algae wafers or even hikar massivore (which has some spirulina in it) instead. since this information is out there in the forum, yes, it makes the lettuce question look a little ridiculous. research first, ask questions later. would also add that you lost some credibility with the KFC issue...chicken is bad enough. your continued lack of respect towards others in posts like this makes people less and less inclined to take you seriously, respond to your questions, or respect your posts/input/comments--
