RUS? You could be right I guess. Never seen NE's FH's so can't really say I guess. I assumed it would be typical LFS quality. Just know JP's fry's RD father had one of the hugest heads ever. Either way good idea picking up a FH male.

yeah NE cichlids is a vendor on fhRUS. so i'm sure he has good ones.

So it's friday night and i have nothing better to do then go to the FS
So im walking through and stumbled upon this guy..
So i brought him home..
Put him with my female..
And they start doing this dance then locking face..

What up?!?
Normal for wanting to breed.. or are they just fighting?

Breeding behavior I believe... Congrats:headbang2

keep an eye on them if the play gets too physical separate them... the dancing and blah could be both... moreso towards fighting if you just got them...

Yeah I JUST got him.

Very nice pick up, especially from a LFS! This one(Jing Kang) actually have kok potential, good fins, and body shape.

Looks a little too young to breed, but it might be possible. Also it's best when the female is 1/3 size of the male in general. I'd just grow him out to 8+" to see his max potential then try breeding, but that's just me.;)

Alrighty then...
Ill do that!
Could i just get a splitter for the tank theyre in?

You can, but the best thing would be putting him ALONE in a tank where he can't see any other fish. That brings out the 100% while using a divider gets him 50%-80%.
