actually you don't make much profit unless you're specifically breeding and selling. You have to factor in the water, electricity and food, filters, etc that you spend just to maintain the fish. I've seen fish of that quality go for 100-200 easily.

Yea you are right pal ...but in Mumbai (India) no everyone want quality fhs but no one is willing to pay desired price I tried to sell it for just $50 but I got negative response so decided to sale it cheap..:(:(:(..anyways I dont take my hobby as business I just sold it coz I was short of money for my plAnted tank ...

If I had the money and I didn't have my current flowerhorn and a free tank, I would pay about 75-100$ for that. Partly bacause It cost a lot of money ship a fish so it would cost more to buy a smaller one of the same quality. IMO nice fish, yoiu were kinda riped off but it's not horrible.

IMO, the single flowerhorn is better than a palanted tank. Still the planted tank is nice.

Yea you are right .....I miss my zz ....so I bought four 1 inch juvenile zz for $1 each...hope to get atleast one male outta them. :D:D:D

Its a nice looking fish but I see no value in FHs. Every fh or hybrid fish I've had I've given away for free especially FHs. Trimacs are devalued because of the fh and trimacs are much nicer fish. Around here fh are pretty cheap even grade A's. They are cheap because no one really sells them and when they do they sit at the store weeks sometimes months. U made out good since u payed next to nothing for it. My advice for ya. Get a trimac and let it eat those fh u just got......

if u want to know that u have got a male there or not u can just vent it or u can use dorsal spot method i.e. if ur fh have black spot anywhere on dorsal fin it is female and if nothing is there,it is a male and have u heard about baba aqua empire,i have seen there advertisements over here but i have never got a chance to get it from them as i live very far from there i.e. ghaziabad (INDIA),i think u should give them a chance coz back awhile they had thai silk shortbody which was 8$
