Woah, chill. Even with a 55 that fish will only live in there well for 4-8 months depending on how big he was when purchased. At 10" I'd say a bigger tank will be needed. I don't think this is the best choice as eventually the pet shop will get stuck with an aro in a 30 gallon. I'd recommend saving up the money until you can afford at least a 125 and then get your aro. A big pond is also an option.

if money is the problem, go the pond route. and cover it. they jump. you bit off a bit more than you can chew here but there is still a way to recover. go to home depot or lowes and get the biggest plastic pond lining you can get. get a nice pond filter and put that baby in there. otherwise, buy a 180 or preferably more. or.... return it now and save yourself and the fish the trouble down the line.

and i dont hate ya... just be better prepared... haha, i cant believe i saw an "i hate you" on here. that's classic.

I think he meant by the time it gets too big for that tank, it will still be small enough that an LFS would take it.
(thats what i got from his post anyways) hate is such a strong word.


Of course a 7-8" aro in a 10 gallon tank would be a horrible atrosity punishable by death. Especially if that person KNEW how big they get before hand.

That aro is already too big for a 10 gallon. If it IS in the 10 gallon, then he might as well just bag him back up and take him back to the LFS because OH LOOK, he's out grown the tank already.

dude, look at the fish you have in your 150, i think your a bit hipocrittacal, i hope you plan to upgrade, he needs to return his fish, but you have fish that need big tanks too, that 150's way overcrowded
