^- 8 inches is pretty good.
If you really like the arowana that you bought for $100, I would say just take the lesson learned and keep him. Do we really love our pets by how much we paid or didnt pay for them?
I would recommend HIKARI FOOD STICKS as a staple for arowanas. But make sure you change up their diet too (imagine eating 1 thing all your life). I also treat my arowana with bloodworms, FD krill, market prawns, live crickets, and sometimes feeders.
im going to get the hikari food sticks today but i have a variety of fish that feed on the live food in the tank so do you think that the arowana will take the food right away? I just dont want any of my fish to get aggressive toward one another thats why I keep plenty feeders available.
i dont sleep well when i know i got ripped off so i slept on it last night and decided that im returning the arowana and im going to get $100 store credit and buy some plants and a pleco and pbass
I'll be after a silver aro before too long, when my stock tank's set up and matured. This time it's not going back to the shop - a red tail cat ate my last one! It'd raised it from having a yolk sac...
next time get them off of riverwonders.com, they are $25.00 plus $39.00 shipping. I bought from them before. they're fish are SUPER healthy and larger than described.
