Well, my red turqs. have spawned five times in the past, but all were done in hard water and the eggs were eaten by the parents.....This time I used 80% reverse osmosis water and my babies are 8 days old....I've still got a ways to go, but this is the best I've been able to do with discus so far. I believe I've got about 75 fry in there. Mom was pulled on day two, so dad has done all the work. I introduced baby brine shrimp to them yesterday. Here are a couple of pics.

Thanks, MIKE

Nice work man. Im way to slack to breed anything hard like discus so ill just stick to cons for feeders.

Goodluck with the fry :D

congrats mate =) its hard work breeding them, but once you get the hang, you will hate the fact you need 10 - 20 tanks for grow outs.
:P

Good luck mate!

why'd u take the mom out? discus fry feed off the mucus of their parents in the early stages.

They don't need to feed off the parents, You can feed then baby brine shrimps and micro worms. People artificially raise Discus sometimes.

I'm going to try both methods of raising once I get my 55 gal.
