My first discus breeding project!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks for all the kind responses...The fry are doing great...They have been free swimming for 15 days and most are over 1/2" already!! I do have three or four that haven't grown too much....I will most likely try to keep them until they are two inches or so before selling them, that is a good point. Thanks everyone, I'll keep you all posted.

Getting them to grow quick is very simple......Plenty of: Stability, fresh water, FOOD!!!!

Some how I missed your post...

You might want to get a pleco for your tank... The algae is everywhere! Feed them live garden worms, They'll absolutely love them! It's because they're alive they'll be wriggling around heaps, add in more than you think will feed them, They can live for over 2 weeks underwater. You know how on the breeding guides it says "feed 6 times daily" or something just add heaps and no need. But in the morning and night i suggest feeding them some top quality flake, too much protein/fat in the diet can kill them.

Yeah, maybe I'll add a pleco, then I'll have poop everywhere rather than algae....No thanks, I'd rather scrape once a week!
