The fish does not look too bad for the conditions you descibed!
Keep your water in Primo- condition, and you got yourself a healthy O in no time!
Goodluck!

Any HITH problems?

I have never owned an oscar for this reason alone.
Should'nt let that reason stop ya.There are things that you can do to prevent HITH.

Everyone can argue all they want about carbon only causing it. But try keeping nitrates at 10 ppm or less and you'll believe me.
Really, I dont remember hearing this about carbon.

Did you quarantine him or jsut throw him in with your fish?

A fish that comes from nasty conditions could kill your whole tank. Being nice is cool, but you have to be smart

Didn't have a spare tank setup so I moved the 2 bluegill that were originally in the tank into another tank then introduced the oscar. No quarantining. But I do know all about. I Just skipped it this time because I was unprepared.

I could'nt really tell by the footage but if they are the ones that I think, they just seem to appear when filter systems are a little overwelmed.Small fish sometimes eat them but in your case, you cant have any small fish around.I would wipe the inside glass, rinse off the filter media, and do a good water change.I have had them pop up but they never caused any problems.

it's not how many fish you have, it's how happy they are!
I've been waiting for those words for a while :)

Anyone know how to get rid of these worms?

Nuke 'em wih Prazi Pro or something similar...

short clip and no stationary pics.. but looks like same ones I had.. try feeding less food more often, they're scavengers 'n after a few water changes and going from feeding 2x daily to 4x daily.. but same amount of food total daily I got rid of mine. Prazi-pro does not get rid of them. and they never where harmful. Just unsightly. Every now and then I spy one still. But rarely. and it's not worth removing my driftwood to compleatly erradicate them. Oddly enough it's also the same tank I have my Oscar in.

hows he doin?? pics please!
