My first Indoor pond

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Amazing! Wish I had the room/owned my house so I could do something like this.
Look forward to seeing your progress!

Looks good.. I was pondering the idea myself, but after checking this one out I came to a different conclusion. Thanks I believe that you have simplified things whit for me..... I have one question, how would you go about heating? That slab is going to draw alot of heat out of it .
These are questions I have for my build as well, not ment to slam..;)

If you are worried about the concrete, you could build a bottom just like he did the walls. So the bottom would not contact the concrete.

not sure want you ment by little giant, thats a water pump and I was talking about filters,I have a big magdrive that is going to be used for water flow.

as far as the heat loss is concerned the pond will be lined with 2" rigid insulation on the floor and walls.

Wow, definitely need some rays in there.

For filters, there's always the great standby of a large sump, but that would require a large aquarium or another diy build, plus the plumbing.

If money isn't too big of an issue, look into the Ultima/Ultima II pool filters. They are very good as far as filtration.

I do not see how you could run a sump, they need to be below tank level?

I guess a sump above would work but it then would not be a sump.

I think a platform above with a pond filter would be best and allow gravity to feed back to the pond.
