My First Iwagumi?!

To update, I went to Maryland for a long weekend retreat and, in my absense, left my mom responsible for the upkeep of my small zoo. Well, things didn't go quite as planned as she decided on a spontaneous weekend getaway of her own, leaving my 27w light on full blast for the better part of 72 hours. Nearly all of the HC on the left side of the tank seems to have melted away. I'm going to leave everything as-is for another day or two to see if there is any hope. Should is be a loss, I'm going to rip out the dead stuff and replant that side. I'm pissed because I had hoped to fill this tank tomorrow afternoon . Pics to follow later tonight...

ah the joys of leaving other in charge of a planted tank. Many times I've returned to find my plants looking sickly and covered in algae.

Thanks for the head's up. I need to head over there to grab another pot of HC anyway, just in case mine is toast for good.

I guess this is a lesson learned...I'm going to grab a timer for CO2 and light first thing tomorrow.
