Thanks again all for the nice comments, I know the rtc is to far but I love em like we all do! I have some great local stores that will take him back if it becomes an issue! Thanks again!-)

Actually, When it becomes an issue!!

I have kept a RTC in a tank smaller than yours before and it lasted about 1.5 years before I had to trade him in at 24".

Your tank will hold him for longer than that...the issue is rest of the fish...unless your fish is pretty full grown, at 12 inches he will have a field day(rather night) with your other stock...I personally would vote for a pair of large cichlid of your choice and maybe a clean up crew that the cichlids don't find objectionable.

but yes, very nice setup...I would love to be able to have a wide tank like that.

I had a docile 18inch rtc in with these up until last week, broke the heater and killed himself!-( was eating out my hand and there was fish below 3 inch aswell as all my other stock an that was in a 190! I know everyfish is different but hey! I'm thinking most of the cichlids will be going tbh, I picked up a 14 inch jardini today cause it was mega cheap for my area, 60 pounds, about 85 bucks?? Anyone? I'm thinking maybe rtc for a while!-) snakehead, giant gourami, african pike, and jardini would be cool!

Its not overstocked atm... Here's a pic... Love my dovii pair, they could still win me over lol!-)IMG-20121207-00601.jpg
