my first proper monster tank set up at last!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Ey jagster, yea he's ok throwing his weight around with much larger fish like they do lol, not persistently being nasty apart from beating on a 9inch jag but he's going tomorrow so the dovii can chill out then! I have the 190 still if he gets really bad, hope I don't have to tho!

Not really into shovel nose... I got at least a couple of years with this red tail before he'll become an issue...

Tank like that in England must have cost more than a used car, god that thing is huge. You know its not 2' high right? I have a 5x3x2 and the 3" width is very noticeable with 2' high. Your tank looks almost square like its 7x3x3 or 7'x30"x30".

Here is a pic for reference of what 3' x 2' looks like

Yea, thanks for that pic, its 7ft long 2ft high and 34inch wide... Had it custom made at quite a good price, 583 english pounds and I made the stand at lid materials costing 125 pounds for the wood, screws and glue, and 50 for the perspex and lid because my mates brother works in a plastic factory! Also I had the bracing at the top as high as it could go nearly on the lip so I had as much usable space as possible!

Here's a shot, still a little murky as its only been set up a day, a more exact measurment of that aro is 15 16inch...IMG-20121207-00604.jpg

Ah yeah I can see from the picture 24" x 30" still looks good though. And sounds like you got a good price considering you were building it yourself. I moved to Canada recently and I am amazed at how cheap everything is compared to england. I got my 225 for about 100 pounds from the inernet!

Its 24x34 lol! Bloody hell that is cheap!

Nice setup, who did you have make the tank ? Nd ?
