  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Its a shame people buy anemones thinking they can house them because people say they are "hardy"....shame is they are practically immortal in the wild until they get sick or get killed by a natural disaster. Irresponsible fish keeping really bothers me.

But there is responsible ways of doing it. Same as it bothers me Lfs will sell nurse sharks, large stingrays and fish that won't live in capt

Why am I being irresponsible and why us every one hating me? I just bought an anenome as advised by my knowledgeable lfs owner, more knowledgeable than the most of us. Stop trolling me!

Once again dont come on a forum asking for advice when you are going to ignore it. The people in forum are not selling anything. Your knowledgeable lfs person is. ;) .

The kid knows all. Let him waste his time and money so he can come back on here crying about how everything dies. He has a knowledgeable LFS owner on his side who doesn't want his money. He just wants to see him succeed in keeping a reef.

Lets rewind this.............. 8/29/12 - 10 days ago - your tank intially cycled thru, it's the very 1st time enuff biology grew to handle, what is next to nothing when it comes to generation and processing of organic decomp, you got a clownfish and then a Nem. Neither of which you've had time to learn how to care for and most certainly not enuff quarentine time for the fish. Your thinkin' Iodine and alk are important to NON - shellfish. Your lnowledge and experience is hangin' out the back of your pants. Everyone on this forum is tellin' you slow down but you know better. Your LFS dealers' a fool or your a sucker for bad advice and bad husbandry - and your wondering why ppl are hating on you?

And YES - take the Anemone Back it's good husbandry in your case. 6 months from now IF your clown is still alive try again.

Never mind, everyone just gives opinionated advice here. I should have known better than to join this website. Everyone is being rude and all. Maybe you have had a bad expierience, but until I do, I am going take care of MY tank the way I see fit! And btw I read about clownfish and nems very well before I bought the tank! I may act like I know it all, but contrary to popular belief I do know certain things.

No everybody is giving you good advice, you just dont want to listen because you are impatient. Nems are VERY delicate. Just because your tank is cycled doesnt mean you can throw anything in it. It takes time to create the ecosystem thats in that glass box. All it means when you tank is done cycling is that you have a filter. Thats it.
