My first stand build

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That is awesome setup can't wait to see the doors on it keep the pictures coming!

My apologies for the 9 month delay!

Final update.

I got the doors on and quickly found out that they don't close flush. After all that work! :swear::duh::wall:

I regret being so cheap. The doors I used were salvaged cupboard doors from the 1960's. I guess they warped over time because the top of 2 of the doors stick out a 1/2" and the bottoms are flush. Anyway I may or may not fix it this summer. It doesn't look to bad because the room is dark 90% of the time.

I don't have a full tank and stand shot but the following are the most resent pics of the tank. I got rid of my monster fish (braces for beating) because they kept rearranging the tank and it always looked like crap because of it.

Enjoy!

(the door is actually opened slightly, if it stuck out that far I'd fix it for sure);)

Very nice..what fish are in there now? Looks vacant...and perfect for some african rift lake cichlids :-)

There's nothing in it right now.

Cool beans! Your dog is a cutie! What are the measurements (L x w) of the tank/stand? I have to get one built for a 95.5 L x 14" w and the total # of 2x4s is confusing. Never was good at this kind of math, lol.
